Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies (300 grams)
  • 200 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 300 grams high-quality dark or milk chocolate, melted
  • Sprinkles or edible decorations (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Place Oreos in a food processor and crush them into fine crumbs. If you lack a processor, a zip-lock bag and rolling pin do the trick.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese until a smooth, homogenous mixture forms.
  • Using your hands or a small scoop, shape the mixture into small balls, approximately one inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate the formed balls for about 15-20 minutes, ensuring they firm up and hold their shape during coating.
  • Melt your chosen chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Dip each chilled truffle ball into the chocolate, ensuring it’s fully covered. Use a fork to lift and gently shake off excess chocolate.
  • Optionally add sprinkles before the chocolate sets. Return the truffles to the lined baking sheet and refrigerate for a further 15 minutes to set completely.
