  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
  • For the Marinade:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, honey, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.
  • Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the marinated chicken wings on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 30-35 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are cooked through and crispy.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the ingredients for the glaze and cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Toss the baked wings in the glaze until evenly coated. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
