  • 250 grams of all-purpose flour
  • 125 grams of unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 150 grams of granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Wash, hull, and chop the strawberries into small pieces. Gently pat them dry to remove excess moisture.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. This usually takes about 3 minutes.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Carefully fold the strawberries into the dough.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This helps the cookies maintain shape while baking.
