  • 7 grams of active dry yeast
  • 240 milliliters of warm milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 85 grams of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix warm milk and a teaspoon of sugar, then sprinkle in the yeast. Let it sit until frothy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Add the frothy yeast mixture, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  • Punch down the dough and divide it into three parts. Roll each part into a rope and braid them, forming a circle with the ends tucked under.
  • Place the braided dough on a baking sheet, cover, and let it rise again until puffy.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with colorful sprinkles. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
