  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 24 maraschino cherries, drained and patted dry

  • Additional powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and salt. Gradually blend in the flour and nuts until well combined.
  • Pat the maraschino cherries dry, then wrap the dough around each cherry to form a ball.
  • Place the balls on an ungreased cookie sheet.

  • While still warm, roll cookies in additional powdered sugar and let cool on wire racks.
