  • 57 grams of unsalted butter, softened
  • 300 grams of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons of milk or cream

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg, buttermilk, red food coloring, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
