  • 1 medium head cabbage, shredded

  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional)
  • Sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Sauté the onions and garlic in the same skillet until softened and fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef, onions, garlic, cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, rice, tomato paste, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper to a slow cooker.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Add salt, pepper, or other spices to bring out the flavors.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, sour cream, or Greek yogurt, if desired.
