  • 2 ounces white chocolate

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Chill the peanut butter dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • In a double boiler or microwave, melt the chocolate chips and shortening together until smooth. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
  • Dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, leaving a small portion of the peanut butter exposed at the top.
  • Place the dipped buckeyes back on the parchment-lined baking sheet and immediately drizzle with melted white chocolate to create football laces.
  • Let the chocolate set completely before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
