Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
Stir in chili powder, cumin, oregano, and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 minute more.
Stir in pumpkin puree, diced tomatoes, white beans, and chicken broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour, to allow flavors to meld.
