- 9 cups Chex Cereal
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/2 cup Caramel Bits
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 cup Toasted Coconut Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, caramel bits, and butter.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal and stir until evenly coated.
- Place the coated cereal in a large ziplock bag.
- Add the powdered sugar and shake until all the cereal is evenly coated.
- Spread the puppy chow on a baking sheet and sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes.
- Let cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container.
