  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 32 ounces frozen tater tots
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is softened.
  • In a large bowl, combine the browned ground beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and 1 ½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the beef mixture into a Crockpot. Top with the frozen tater tots and the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
