  • 1 pound Italian Sausage
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 15 ounces Canned Tomato Sauce
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces Lasagna Noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
  • Fresh Basil, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Brown the Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the browned sausage, chopped onion, minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and Italian seasoning to the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • During the last hour of cooking, add the broken lasagna noodles to the slow cooker. Stir to ensure they are submerged in the liquid.
  • Continue cooking until the noodles are tender, about 30-60 minutes.
  • Just before serving, stir in the ricotta cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
